Brief Understanding your requirements

Create a new play area to cater for an age range of 2 to 12 to enable children to play in different ways and gain vital experiences and skills throughout.

Predominantly constructed of good quality robinia with any colour to be sympathetic to the natural surroundings (any colour applied to the robinia needs to be water- based paint). • WOW factor for the park • Dog Park • Play area • Teen shelter • Wet pour play area • The client would like it to play homage to the Selsey Tram that used to run through this area.

Any inconsistencies on site should be verified with eibe before commencement of work. eibe recommend that existing trees are risk-assessed by the client to ensure the integrity of accessible branches, that overhanging limbs do not conflict with new play equipment or vehicle access and that the canopy will not produce excessive leaf drop which could cause a hazard within the play area. This design layout conforms to the relevant EN Safety Standard. GRASS & GRASS MAT SURFACING Where equipment is installed directly into grass and the free height of fall is between 0.6m and 1.5m it is the responsibility of the playground operator to ensure that the grass sward is maintained in good order. Where equipment is installed with grass mat surfacing it is the responsibility of the playground operator to ensure that the grass is maintained in good order. When laid directly onto existing grass this surface will follow the natural contours of the ground. RUBBER MULCH SURFACING eibe recommend the use of a 50mm stone base when installing rubber mulch. If installed without the finished surface will be a reflection of the ground beneath it, following any undulations, & will not be a completely flat surface. Rubber mulch will not cure any existing drainage problems & will require foundations and/or some kind of drainage system prior to installation.

Selsey TC Manor Road - Manor Green Play Area / 19 In 1997, the 100th anniversary of the first train, a walking guide was written and signs attached to existing WSCC footpath signs along the route. Generations today can still enjoy the experience and Walk The Selsey Tram Way.’ A link to your history ! Opening in 1897, having taken only 4 months to build, The Selsey Tram travelled form Selsey Beach pond to Chichester. The Selsey closed early 1935 At first, the Selsey Tramway had many passengers (in 1919 it had 102,000). However, during the 1920s and early 1930s, it faced growing competition from buses. By 1933 Selsey Tramway only carried 21,000 passengers. Two years later it was forced to close.

This design layout conforms to the relevant EN Safety Standard. GRASS & GRASS MAT SURFACING Where equipment is installed directly into grass and the free height of fall is between 0.6m and 1.5m it is the responsibility of the playground operator to ensure that the grass sward is maintained in good order. Where equipment is installed with grass mat surfacing it is the responsibility of the playground operator to ensure that the grass is maintained in good order. When laid directly onto existing grass this surface will follow the natural contours of the ground. RUBBER MULCH SURFACING eibe recommend the use of a 50mm stone base when installing rubber mulch. If installed without the finished surface will be a reflection of the ground beneath it, following any undulations, & will not be a completely flat surface. Rubber mulch will not cure any existing drainage problems & will require foundations and/or some kind of drainage system prior to installation.
